What is Western Rye?
Western Rye is an open-world survival crafting adventure set on an Old West frontier recovering from the mysterious Rye Fever.
Official material frames its core loop around securing food and water, establishing a modular homestead, cultivating crops, raising ranch animals, gathering and mining resources, and turning those materials into structures, tools, weapons, and repairs. The frontier includes red-rock country, settlements, caves, changing weather, wildlife, outlaws, cultists, and Husk connected to Rye Fever.
You can travel alone or use online co-op with up to four players. The developer says a group can build nearby homesteads, share resources, and fight together, but hosting rules, save ownership, progression, and permissions still need reproducible current-build evidence.
